Contracts & Booking requirements
Bookings will be confirmed only upon receipt of an agreed non-refundable deposit as per contract and a completed signed contract. The remaining payment must be paid no later than 14 days before the event (by bank transfer or cheque) or paid in cash at the start of the event and before the first live performance. If you wish to pay by cash on the night, please ensure that this is arranged immediately upon the acts arrival at the venue. The act reserves the right not to perform until full payment has been made.
Cancellation
In the event of a cancellation by you/ client within 12 weeks in advance of the performance, you/ client will be liable for, and required to pay a cancellation fee of 50% of the agreed acts fee. Where notice of cancellation is within 8 weeks in advance of the performance, you, the client, will be liable for, and required to pay a cancellation fee of 75% of the agreed acts fee. If you, the client, cancel within 4 weeks notice or breach any of the above Terms and Conditions you/client, will be liable for, and required to pay the full agreed acts fee.
Performance Duration
If booking act the performance time will be set out in the contract which will be confirmed with customer/client and will be strictly adhered to, unless agreed by both parties at a later date.
PA and Lighting
The act will supply his own PA and lighting equipment suitable for audiences of up to 400 people. For larger venues extra PA can be supplied and this can be discussed with client/customer at extra costs .
Venue Requirements
The client must ensure that the venue is suitable for the acts performance. The venue must provide a safe and adequate source of power suitable for the acts PA, Stage lighting and equipment. Require are a minimum of 2 x 13 amp main sockets for the PA and lighting system. The venue must provide a safe, dry and even performance area of sufficient size to accommodate the performance of the act with appropriate licenses and no inhibiting noise limiters. The stage area must be flat, dry and even and made from a solid material of sufficient strength to support the act and their equipment.
Storage and Rest Area
The client must ensure that there is a separate, dry and comfortable indoor area for the artists to change in and rest. The area should preferably be lockable and must include sufficient chairs. Please note that Cloakrooms, tents, kitchens, toilets and bathrooms are not acceptable for this purpose.
Noise Restrictions
The act will always try to play at a volume appropriate to the venue. The act will perform at a venue if a sound limiter is present unless the limiter is not wired to the mains sockets. If power is cut off to the bands equipment and the equipment subsequently fails, or is deemed to be faulty, the client is liable for the repair costs and / or suitable replacement of such equipment. The act will stop playing immediately when instructed to do so by the client, venue manager, police, or local council agencies.
Arrival & Set up
If the act is unable to setup or start performing at the agreed time for reasons beyond their control they will discuss new arrangements with customer on the night and will oblige to work out new times to extend their performance suitable to both. Once the acts equipment has been setup and tested, the act will have pre-recorded music playing through the PA system before the performance and between sets. If the client wishes to play their own music selection this must be agreed with the act before the performance date. It is agreed by the client that any equipment of the act are not available for use by other performers or persons unless agreed before the event.
Setup and Breakdown
The act will normally arrive 1 hour before the start of the first performance to setup and test their equipment regardless of whether guests are already present at the venue. If you require the act to setup earlier in the day an additional fee will apply. The band must be able to safely and conveniently dismantle and load their equipment directly after their performance. The act will require approximately 1 hour after the performance to dismantle their equipment and load their vehicles. Please ensure that the venue managers are aware of this requirement.
